DENNY IN THE 1970'S
I just received two school yearbooks from an EBV (Venezuela) alumni now living in Australia. In them were these two photos of Denny. The uppermost one was taken in 1974, the one directly above is from 1975. Both photos now grace Denny's BIOGRAPHY page, but I thought I'd include them here so they won't be overlooked. - (CWC)

March 11 , 2007

What a good week it was, weatherwise and workwise.

On Tuesday night I went to the Residents Association meeting for my building, and lo and behold, I was elected to the board as a committee member. Not sure they know what they've gotten themselves into. We shall see.

On Friday after work, a group of us headed out to the Last Drop Inn to begin the leaving do for Phil Johnson, who is moving to Hull. We had a good group out. The rest headed on to other pubs, but 6 of us headed to Wilde's for dinner, as we were celebrating Tracey Riby's birthday. We bid the others good night and headed out. What a delightful evening we had. We were seated upstairs, and we were the only ones there, which was nice. Good food, good service, delightful company and invigorating conversation! Before we knew it, it was 11:00pm, and we were the only ones in the place. We left, and all headed home.

On Saturday I was up and out for my therapy on my shoulder, then walked into town to Newgate Market to visit with Teri and Bess Rhodes as well as get my fruit, veg and some meat and fish. The day was lovely, with a bit of wind blowing. I got all my things, and then I headed home to deposit them and put them away. I then headed to the movies to see Becoming Jane, which was quite good. When it was over, I came back home, got things sorted in the flat, and took off for the cinema again to see The Good Shepherd, which WAS good! I got home again about 11pm!

Up Sunday to a glorious day, which was again warmer than the others. I picked up John Coulson and off we went to watch York City Knights beat Toulouse in the Carnegie Challenge Cup. We were the underdogs, and it was a sweet victory for York!!

After I dropped him off, I picked up Donna Gale, and she and I went to the Royal Dragon for Chinese food. How that place has improved! We both had a delicious meal, although she was a BIT hungover from the night before! I dropped her off and came here to write to you all.

So that's me for another week. Hope all is fine with all of you.

Love,

Denny
