This
update is coming a day early, as I am off to Barcelona,
Spain with friends tomorrow!
The week has been a busy one at work and getting ready for
the trip. Teri Rhodes came over on Tuesday, and she and
I went over everything about the trip. I had booked us into
the Executive
Lounge at Leeds
Bradford Airport, and she was happy about that!
Nothing much happened during the week. I continued to try
to decide what I would and wouldn't take, depending on the
weather. At first it appeared we would not have good weather
(believe it or not, the weather here in the UK has been
better than that of Spain since before Easter!), then the
picture brightened, and now, it appears we will not have
any rain, there will be sunny and partly sunny days, and
all looks good for our trip. We will be there from Sunday
until Wednesday. I've not been there for about 30 years,
and several in our group have never been; so a good time
will be had as we see the sites, enjoy the food and drink
of Catalonia
and being together.
Today I was off to Mittel
Clinic for a session on my shoulder, then
on to get my hair cut at Lawton
Henry's Salon, further into town to exchange
my money for euros, have a few words with Teri and her mum,
and then home to complete my packing. About 4 I went to
Liz Kirby's home for dinner. She made a delicious seafood
lasagna, one of my favorite dishes she makes. I'm not
a big fan of lasagna, but boy that seafood one is special
to me!
Tomorrow Teri and her partner, Gary, are picking me up.
He's not going, but is kindly driving us to Leeds Bradford
Airport for our Jet2
flight. We will meet up with Pam Powell, Dana Dennis, Peter
Gibson and Gareth Dadd there, and then it is off to the
Executive Lounge and then on
the Spain!
So that's it for me. I will tell you all about our trip
upon my return in next week's update. I hope you all have
had a good week!
Love,
