April 30, 2006

A good week, by all accounts.

I had an acupuncture appointment on Tuesday which went well, then on Thursday I went to see my doctor at The Jorvik Medical Practice. I'd lost another half-stone! 7 pounds! She was as thrilled as I was!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that last week Bruce was invited to meet the Duke of York! it was in connection with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and Corries is a major sponsor. Well, he was thrilled, as were we!!

On Friday after work, Tracey Riby and I went to the Spread Eagle for a few pints. What a wonderful atmosphere there was there! Two girls were here visiting from Norway, and they sang Abba songs in the karaoke, Tracey and I each sang, others sang, and there was some good talent! The place was packed, and everyone was having a great time! We left about 10pm.

On Saturday I went to the Grand Opera House to purchase tickets for The Rocky Horror Show. It's coming to York in May, and Tracey, Lil Sutton and I are going! It will be fun!!! After doing other errands, I came home in the late afternoon and then got myself ready for Angie Nyhan's wedding party. She was married on Saturday, and I was invited, along with others from Corries, to attend the reception at Churchill Hotel. What a fun time we all had! My taxi arrived at 11, and off I went home.

Today I was up and out of here and went to Hull to go the aquarium, The Deep. Very impressive! Afterwards, I went to Chiquito and had a decent Mexican meal, and the service was good! Guess I was lucky, according to reviews I had read. I came home in the late afternoon, and that's me for today.

Tomorrow is a holiday here, for May Day; so no work! I'm meeting up with Paula Downing and Liz Kirby, and we will see what mischief we can get up to!

Have a wonderful week.
