Enjoy the stunning beauty of Rio de Janeiro on your computer!

This screensaver was created from an image taken of Rio in November, 2004 from the top of the famous “Statue of Christ” mountain - Corcovado. As the image slowly pans across your computer screen, one can clearly see all the famous sites that Rio is so famously known for all over the world - the Rio-Niteroi Bridge, Botafogo, Flamengo, Pão de Açucar (Sugar Loaf), the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Leblon, the Lagôa, and the Jockey Club.

If you ever lived in Rio, or just visited there, using this screensaver will remind you of the beauty of Rio de Janeiro every day, at home, at work, or wherever you decide to use it - as if you were there yourself! It will look exactly like the image above except that it will be full-screen sized!

This screensaver is available in WINDOWS format only. The price is only US$9.95, which includes shipping anywhere in the world. Upon purchase, your installation CD will be sent to you within 24 hours of payment containing the executable screensaver installation program (EXE). Then simply insert the CD into your CD tray and follow the simple prompts to install the screensaver.

The license allows for the installation of the screensaver on two individual computers, like your desktop and laptop computers, or your home and work computers, etc.

It's the classic beauty of Rio as you've always remembered it - without having to personally be there to enjoy it!

HOW IT WAS MADE: This image was produced from six horizontally-consecutive, slightly overlapping, high-resolution digital photographs. These six images were then "stitched" together with graphic stitching software to create one seamless panoramic view. This single image was then converted with software into a slowly-panning FLASH movie file (a process called photokenesis), which is seen above. It was then converted into a WINDOWS screensaver with yet a third program. Lastly, two more programs were used on it - one to create an executable installation file so that it installs into the proper folders automatically, and the last to allow the CD to autostart the installation process automatically once the CD is placed into a computer CD tray.
